The “dunk of the year” category is a revolving door that turns throughout the college and pro basketball seasons.

Obviously LeBron James’ recent posterization of poor John Lucas, and Blake Griffin’s re-arrangement of Kendrick Perkins’ DNA are two of the best of the year, but Savalace Townsend from little Arkansas Pine Bluff has just thrown his hat into the ring.

Townsend’s leaning, left-handed facial was a thing of beauty– regardless of level and the, uh, “quality” of the broadcast.
