Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal did a study of NBA players’ earnings based on which college they attended. The WSJ took every player that entered the draft since 1985 and collected the salary data. Then they assigned the earnings to each players’ college. However, the data does not include this year’s rookies.
Here are the top 10 schools whose alumni earned the most since 1985:
No. | School | Top Earner |
1 | North Carolina | Rasheed Wallace |
2 | Duke | Grant Hill |
3 | Arizona | Mike Bibby |
4 | Georgetown | Allen Iverson |
5 | Michigan | Chris Webber |
6 | Connecticut | Ray Allen |
7 | Georgia Tech | Stephon Marbury |
8 | Kansas | Paul Pierce |
9 | Kentucky | Antoine Walker |
10 | UCLA | Baron Davis |
