New York Giants Victor Cruz Turned Down SI Cover Model Kate Upton
Fresh off his Super Bowl win and breakout 2011 campaign, Victor Cruz is enjoying his spoils. But did the stud wide receiver really turn down Kate Upton?
According to her, he did.
The two met while Upton was celebrating her being on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition at the New York club Crimson.
“He denied me this Valentine’s Day. He said no,” Upton said with a laugh. “I don’t want to talk about it. I’m so upset. I can’t salsa good enough—that must be it.”
According to the article by The Daily, the two were flirty at the ribbon cutting for Fashion Week in New York City.
“We met the other day but I like to pretend we’re best friends,” Upton said. “I was at the Super Bowl and I saw him win.”
It must be nice to turn down one of the most desirable women in the world. When asked about the situation, Cruz could barely contain his smirk.
“I’m here just to show some love and get a glimpse at the issue. I’m happy Kate got the cover and happy she’s doing some wonderful things, so that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
