Who doesn’t love cute kids dominating things that some adults can’t even do? Whether it is Tiger Woods hitting a golf ball, or a kid slaying on a guitar, it’s cool to witness these youngsters years ahead of their time. In the case of Christian Haupt, Adam Sandler’s production crew certainly thought it was a cool enough to feature it in their next movie.
Haupt isn’t your normal three-year old boy; he’s already obsessed with baseball. At the age of 2, a video of Haupt fielding, hitting, and throwing was put on YouTube. In the video, we see Haupt handling the fundamentals with ease. His eye-to-hand coordination is not only impressive, but almost unbelievable. The most impressive tidbit from the video is Haupt’s throwing ability. After attempting to play baseball with my seven-year old nephew, I know how erratic a child’s throw can be.
Haupt’s favorite team is the Dodgers, and wears his his white uniform every day to preschool. According to Haupt’s mother, when Christian had to take off his jersey to get into khakis and a polo for the film shooting, he started crying uncontrollably.
That’s My Boy is set to hit theaters in June, and will also feature Rex Ryan as an obsessive New England Patriots’ fan.
