I think there was genuine concern that Tim Tebow was going to fall out of the news in the offseason. Take this week for example. All he did this week was read Green Eggs and Ham for children and worked out with UCLA offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone. The first story was mildly entertaining and reminded us that Tim Tebow’s enthusiasm is one of his best qualities. The second story was slightly controversial because he could work out with anyone in the world. Why would he work out with Noel?
However, the biggest Tim Tebow news story has broken. Jamie Walden asked Tim if he would escort her to her first military ball in Shreveport, Louisiana in a youtube video. The ball is scheduled for sometime in April. Tebow would be following Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake as celebrities who have attended balls after similar invites.

Jamie seems like a very nice person and the video mixes her invite with comedic pleas from other service men and women and even Jamie’s mother. She even has an electronic sign that says, “Will you be my date Tim?” Since its posting on February fifth, over a half million people have watched the video.
So will Tim Tebow occupy the role of Prince Charming? I think there’s little doubt that he will do something for Jamie, even if he is unable to attend. I mean the nicest guy in the world is not going to leave her hanging. The only real holdup is if the ball is scheduled during Broncos mini camps.
It is refreshing to think of Tim Tebow going on a date with a regular person. Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Jenny McCarthy just do not seem like Tim Tebow’s types. He is all for lack of scandal off the football field. Why would he mix himself up in the celebrity-dating scene?
For now, Jamie will just have to wait for an official response from Tim Tebow. Will Tim Tebow make her the “happiest girl in the world?” We’ll wait for Skip Bayless to break the story.
