Oklahoma Coach Jay Norvell Commits Possible Recruiting Violations On Twitter

In the hands of the experienced, Twitter is a great way to connect with people all over the world.  It is also becoming a strategy for NCAA recruiting.  However, if you are Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jay Norvell, you need some Twitter lessons.

There is a distinct difference between a Tweet and a direct message.  Norvell must have thought he was sending DM’s and they instead turned into Tweets.  He sent out his phone number with explicit instructions for recruits to give him a call.   SB Nation did a fantastic job of screengrabbing all the tweets to potential recruits as it happened.

Some believe the account may have been hacked, but I’m not buying it.  Once again, a big shoutout to SB Nation for providing the screencaps of the Tweets.
