Juan Pablo Montoya may have had a NASCAR first.  While trying to catch up to the pack in the Daytona 500 under caution, JPM spun out and hit a jet dryer.  This caused a massive fire on the track, since the jet dryers are filled with fuel.

The red flag came out as the track continued to burn.  It looked like Montoya either broke his steering or lost all his gears.  He had no control of the car and just smacked the jet dryer.  Luckily, no one was hurt.
