The New Mexico Stars really wanted to play against Terrell Owens on Sunday. Owens’s contract with the Allen Wranglers only required him to play home games, but New Mexico ponied up five figures to get him to play.
Owens recorded five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in the game, but New Mexico did get one good shot in on him. Owens tried to break a play to the sidelines and got dumped up and over the fence that guards the field of play.
You certainly don’t get that kind of treatment in the NFL. I wonder if TO is jealous of all the attention Randy Moss’s comeback is getting. You don’t hear a peep about Owens.
