What Do You Make of UNC’s New Shirts?
As North Carolina prepares to take on Creighton in the Round of 32, some UNC stores have already begun to poke fun at their hated arch-rival.
After Duke’s defeat at the hands of 15th-seeded Lehigh on Friday, Tar Heel fans have reacted quickly in making their stabs by designing t-shirts.
Lehigh’s victory on Friday night marked just the sixth time in NCAA Tournament history that a 15-seed has defeated a No. 2 in the Round of 64.
In fact, it was just hours before Lehigh’s victory that 15th-seeded Norfolk State also shocked a No. 2 in defeating Missouri.
In turn, the pair made history, not only becoming the first such upsets since 2001, but also becoming the first pair of 15 seeds to advance to the Round of 32 in a single tournament.
Lehigh defeated Duke 75-70, as the shirt indicates.
North Carolina and Creighton will tip-off at 5:15 p.m. EST from Greensboro, North Carolina.
