VIDEO: Kobe Bryant’s Crazy Circus Shot Against Dallas Mavericks

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has pulled off some of the most memorable highlight-reel worthy shots in NBA history, and this over-the-shoulder prayer in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks is no exception.

This time around, Bryant spun past Dallas guard Jason Kidd and flipped a blind reverse layup off the glass after a failed alley-oop attempt for one of the evening’s most dramatic buckets.

This one’s sure to grace this evening’s SportsCenter Top 10 a few hours from now.

With the Lakers recent trade for Ramon Sessions and the departure of Derek Fisher, you can see the team rallying around the notion they can again be competitive and challenge for an NBA Western Conference championship. This evening’s performance against Dallas was an example of just how brilliant the Lakers’ offense can still be when firing on all cylinders.

The Lakers have been all over the board this season, at times looking like world-beaters, and at others like a team that will make an early exit in the playoffs if they make the playoffs at all. A win against the defending World Champions this evening could be just what the Lakers need to ignite them to a winning streak that could position them in a much better place for a final run toward a high seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

Kobe Bryant’s always happy to add some flash like this evening’s crazy circus finish, but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind the type of help he saw from his teammates this evening.
