VIDEO: Jay-Z Masters Commercial (NSFW)
If there are two things that do not go together, it would be the Masters and Jay-Z. However, they are now combined in this commercial for the Masters. Jay-Z’s lyrics are dubbed over a commercial and this thing is certainly not safe for work. Trust me, I know from experience.
This is one of the most interesting things ever. Jay-Z is someone that I doubt many members of Augusta listen to. His lyrics may or may not be out of his comfort zone. If you haven’t figured out by now, Augusta is very old fashioned. I think Jay-Z would fit in there about as well as a woman golfer.
If CBS ever gets tired of their awesome promo for the tournament, they should run this one. It would certainly force the younger demographic to tune in. Who wouldn’t want to see Jay-Z involved at the Masters? It would certainly draw attention amongst other things.
Whoever came up with is idea is just too awesome. I can’t stop watching it. It is just shocking to see hear Jay’s lyrics with golf in the background. It is so out of right field that it is not even funny. Well, I lied. It is actually extremely funny. The comedy potential of this piece is through the roof.
Needless to say, I’m going to try to show this to as many golf fans as possible. They might be new Jay-Z fans or they might think I’m insane. There is no middle ground.
