Worst Baseball Stadium Entertainment: Comfort Dental Racing
Pictures Below!
The between inning races: the Sausages in Milwaukee, the Presidents in Washington D.C. and Dental Care in Denver, Colorado. You read that right. Forget the circus taking place on the field for the Colorado Rockies, the main event is running around the warning track.
Comfort Dental is sponsoring a between-innings race around Coors Field featuring a toothbrush, toothpaste and a tooth. These racers are filled with fluoride, but vary in size as they teach the lesson of how low a franchise will go to sell advertising.
The logic behind the entire endeavor is flawed as well. Why would a toothbrush and toothpaste be racing against the thing they are supposed to be cleaning, a tooth? The third thing should be dental floss or mouthwash. Maybe they should make it into a roller derby and have a cavity chase these three mascots around the track.
Of course, anyone who has seen Dinger realizes that the overweight, purple, rainbow-speckled dinosaur would become extinct before running around the warning track. He likes to spend his time in the outfield beating little kids at kickball before the game.
Comfort Dental has branches across the country, but has made their home in Colorado. Several years ago, they purchased local concert venue Fiddlers Green and turned it into the Comfort Dental Amphitheatre. It has become a safe haven for bands that are not willing to admit they are past their prime. On the Comfort Dental Amphitheatre line-up for the summer: Motley Crew, Kiss, Huey Lewis and the News and Incubus.
Happy Dental Hygiene!
