Denny Hamlin is always know for making the driver intros at Bristol extremely entertaining. On Saturday, Hamlin was up to his old tricks as he came out to Wobble and wobble he did. Hamlin did the full dance, which is nothing new to him.
Hamlin quickly gained fame last year by hitting the Dougie during his intros. I guess it is a pretty good thing to have. He will always have something that he is known for and he seems to enjoy it. His dancing might not be the world’s greatest thing, but he is a race car driver. It could have ended up being a lot worse than it actually was.
Eventually Hamlin will run out of dances, but it looks like he can keep us this tradition for a while. There seems to be a new dance coming out about every six months or so. I’m sure Hamlin will take the time to watch, learn, and dance for the fans by the time Bristol comes back around.
Back to the driver intros for a second. Every driver picks a song and I was shocked that no one dipped a toe into the Call Me Maybe pool. That song seems to appear everywhere, but I guess a race track would be too far fetched for that too happen. Pop music might dominate every other sport scene but it looks like it will have to wait to break out in racing.
Then again, I probably just gave Hamlin an idea for his song next year.
