Sometimes you read stories or hear about them from friends and they just make you shake your head in shame. Apparently there is a restaurant owner down in Texas, who is a Dallas Cowboys fan, that is charging over $800 for a slice of pizza and a coke. Of course that price is only for New York Giants and Washington Redskins fans.
However, this is a failure of epic proportions and an embarrassment to all Cowboys fans nationwide. Take a look at the picture above and see if you can point out the punctuation fail that would make the guest under aged hosts of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader giggle uncontrollably.
How is a grown human being, who is in charge of employees and running a business, unable to correctly punctuate the team names he is trying to insult? Not only does he unnecessarily add the possessive apostrophe to the names, but he does so incorrectly. If he was actually trying to use the possessive form, the apostrophe would come after the ‘s.’
I have some advice for fans everywhere. If you’re going to try to be clever or funny and get a picture to go viral like this, for the sake of all of us learned people, have someone with an intelligence above a high school level proof read the thing.
Not to mention it’s the height of stupidity to actually post the sign in the first place, considering no Giants or Redskins fan would enter the establishment after seeing the sign, and even if they did, they would already see the joke coming. So when the cashier asked for $863, the owner would be the only one laughing marinara sauce onto his shirt that’s probably too tight and short.
Though I think it goes without saying that it’s not a surprise something like this came out of Dallas. They got trouble with that fancy book learnin’ down there in the Lone Star State (I’m allowed to poke fun people, I’m a born and raised Texan).
