Many people know Maria Menounos as a reporter on the hit show EXTRA. Not many people know her as a big sports fan who happens to enjoy almost every sport. At an event known as EXTRApalooza, Menounos volunteered to get dunked on and dunked on she was.
The man responsible for the dunking is a guy by the name of Air Up There. First off, this is the best name in the history of dunkers. If your name is something like his, I would instantly assume you put people on posters for a living. Either that, or you fly a balloon, but that is not as cool.
A video like this brings me back to one of my favorite ideas of all time but it might not ever happen. If someone gave me enough money to start a TV show, I’d probably run off to a Caribbean island and hide from everyone. Barring that, I would actually create a show (for charity, since I’m a nice guy) that has a bunch of celebrities getting dunked on.
There would be about five guys competing on the show and they name the charity of their choice. If the judges score their dunks the best, they donate the money they win to the charity of choice. It might seem far fetched but I bet you wouldn’t change the channel if you saw famous people getting dunked on. I know I’d would set a DVR or three to watch it.
