Joshua Morgan is probably not going to be a member of the Washington Redskins much longer. On Sunday, the wide out became frustrated after a Cortland Finnegan tackle and he proceeded to throw the ball at him. This led to a 15 yard penalty that effectively took the Skins out of field goal range.
I cannot recall if I have ever seen a more selfish play than this. All Morgan has to do is keep his composure and the Skins have a chance at a 47 yard field goal to force overtime. Instead, they are forced to take a 62-yarder and it never had a shot of going in.
If I am in charge of this team, I cut Morgan on the way home. He is not a star player and he is just a marginal talent. You can not have those guys costing you games like this. Morgan acted in a selfish manner and it cost the team a shot at a 2-0 start. That is simply unacceptable, no matter which way you look at it.
Believe it or not, the Skins look to be mighty feisty this year. They are going to sneak up on a few teams and give them a loss that they were not suspecting. They had a good shot of being 2-0 but the stupidity of Morgan decided to end that.
You will see this play all over top ten lists this week. It won’t be in a good way, though.
