Shaun White is typically recognized as an amazing snowboarder, skateboarder, Olympic Medalist, and his X-Games medals. This time, his name isn’t hitting news for a good reason, in fact he even has a black eye to prove it.
White has jumped the bandwagon of celebrity mug shots after being arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday. White allegedly pulled a fire alarm at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, TN. All guests were evacuated from the building as White attempted to flee from the scene.
A guest from the hotel saw White trying to escape the scene in a cab so he immediately called the police. White overheard the conversation, kicked the guest then ran away on foot. An employee of the hotel also said that White tried to destroy a hotel phone.
The guest then attempted to chase White and somehow the two ended up running into each other. White fell backwards and slammed his head against a fence.
When the cops arrived, White reportedly reeked of alcohol and appeared to be exceptionally intoxicated. White was then taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and the man who chased him declined to press charges.
But here is when the story gets even more interesting. White refused to sign the misdemeanor citations on Sunday. Since he refused to sign them, when he was released from the hospital on Monday, he had a warrant out for his arrest.
White was then arrested and booked for public intoxication and vandalism. He was released later Monday afternoon and will have a court date on October 10th.
Needless to say, White’s rep had no comment on his drunken extravaganza.
