Lance Armstrong has lost a lot of support over the last few months. He was once the biggest star in cycling but now he is a black mark on sports in general. Armstrong hasn’t admitted to doping but it looks he probably should. It appears that he is going to go on Oprah to tell his side of the story.
Oprah Winfrey will speak exclusively with Lance Armstrong in his first no-holds-barred interview. Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career.
This interview will take place on January 17th and I bet a lot of people end up tuning in. Well, it is kind of on an obscure network, but people will find a way to tune in. A lot of people think that he will confess to doping but I would not be so sure about this.
As much as people may not like him, Armstrong seems to be fairly savvy. He may use this as a way to spin the public back to his side. Then again, the best way to do that would be to admit to what he did. That would be the first step to people forgiving him but who knows if that will end up happening?
We will have to watch this closely. Armstrong still has his supporters and people have been waiting to hear what he has to say. It should be quite the interesting interview.
