No one thought that the Boise State Broncos stood a chance after four players were suspended for a big road game against the Wyoming Cowboys. However, no one told Jeff Elorriaga. The Boise State guard knocked down a last second three to hand Wyoming their first loss of the season.

That was a great job of knocking down the open jumper but that was a great play to get the guy open. It was a perfect job of crashing the paint and forcing the defense to adjust. Once the defense had to guard the rim, it left Elorriaga wide open. When a guy can shoot the rock like he does, those are like free throws.
Wyoming was the surprise of the season so far but this loss shouldn’t hurt them too much. They are still a very good team and maybe this will get them focused again. This Boise team was no where near full strength. Maybe Wyoming overlooked them. That is something that you simply can’t do in conference play. You need to bring your A game every single night.
This is why college basketball has so many games that you need to watch. On any given night, an upset can occur that shocks the community. This is one of those games. I thought Boise had a chance before the suspensions but I wrote them off. The only thing that mattered was the Boise players thought they had a shot.
Congrats on your highlight, Jeff. You are going to be on SportsCenter later.
