If you watched the Chicago Bulls take on the Atlanta Hawks, you are a brave person. The Hawks were pure awful and the Bulls really weren’t much better. However, they really didn’t need to be. They were in cruise control most of the game and they punctuated a big win with a Taj Gibson facial on Anthony Tolliver.
Gibson has made a living out of doing things like that. He may not have a ton of dunks, but he does make the most of them. There seems to be a lot of raw power coming out of his plays at the rim. Tolliver gave it his best shot, but you have to realize who you are going against. At no time in his life would Tolliver be able to stop Gibson from going up and over him. Thankfully for us, he thought he could.
Seriously, this was the only thing worth watching from this game. It was just brutal all around. The Hawks apparently had no interest in being there and they were content to throw up stupid jumpers all game. They scored a measly five points in the second quarter. You would think that would be impossible, but the Hawks went out of there way to put on a suck clinic.
Maybe this will get the Bulls back on to the right track. They have been fine this year, but they have not been able to put together a solid win streak. Maybe this out and out beating of the Hawks will be the thing that gets them going.
