One of the best parts about sports is the feel-good stories that come along with them and when it comes to Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers–his act of kindness from this past weekend’s game against the San Francisco Giants is one for the ages.
As you can see in the video above, Kemp was kind enough to give one lucky fan an autographed ball along with his hat, jersey, and shoes after the Dodgers star was finished with them following the game. Apparently, the kid’s dad spoke with the Dodgers third base coach about getting Kemp to come over after the game and the fact that he came through with his word is simply awesome. he’s fighting a tough battle and this was sucha great gift by Matt Kemp ! I’ll never forget this.”
An act like this shows why Kemp is one of the most popular professional athletes in sports and his actions will be remembered by this kid for the rest of his life as it’s safe to say he’s an even bigger fan of Kemp now after this game. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Dodgers fan going through this tough battle as we hope for nothing but a quick recovery on his end.
