It’s amazing how quickly life has changed for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick over the last year as he’s quickly worked his way to the top of the NFL world after taking over the starting job in the second half of the 2012 season and helping the team reach the Super Bowl. While what he accomplishes as a quarterback is impressive, it’s safe to say nothing may be more popular than “Kaepernicking”–which apparently is popular enough for Michelle Obama to even get in on.
As you can see in the photo above, the 49ers quarterback was lucky enough to meet First Lady and the two decided to have some fun by taking an extra photo of the two of them Kaepernicking. For those of you who are unaware of the popular trend Kaepernicking, it’s what Colin does as a celebration after scoring a touchdown in which he leans over and kisses his bicep.
Just like Tebowing and championship belting, Kaepernicking took the NFL world by storm last year and there’s a good chance it will continue to be just as popular during the 2013 season as Kaepernick looks to lead San Francisco to another appearance in the Super Bowl.
If that does happen to be the case, the 49ers hope the results will be different this time around. Either way, Kaepernick still has to feel pretty honored about the First Lady being a fan of his popular trend of Kaepernicking.
