It seems like every day there happens to be a new team linked to Tim Tebow as the former New York Jets quarterback continues to look for a new home for the 2013 season. While numerous teams outside of the NFL have reached out to Tebow with offers, it appears the City of Brotherly Love is the latest to show some love towards the former firs-round pick–it’s just not the Philadelphia Eagles.
Apparently, Ron Jaworski has offered Tebow a roster spot on the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League since he’s yet to find a home. Jaworski has always seemed to have mixed opinions on Tebow as he’s made it clear the quarterback needs to work on his mechanics, but the ESPN analyst and co-owner of the Soul seems to be interested in taking a shot anyway to see if the risk would pay off.
At this point, it’s safe to say the NFL is a long shot for Tebow when it comes to the 2013 season–so playing in the Arena Football League may not be a bad idea for him. If anything, Tebow could work with Jaws since he knows what it takes to make it as a quarterback in the NFL and possibly return to the big leagues a few years down the road.
Of course, first thing is first before any Soul fans gets excited about this move–which is whether or not Tebow accepts the offer from Jaworski.
