10 Celebrities You Could See at 2013 NBA Finals

Main
Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 NBA Finals is set up to be something special between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. Both teams can feel the pressure. The Heat need to win to continue their legacy and prove their naysayers wrong, and the Spurs want a marquee victory to finish out their amazing run to prove once and for all that experience can overcome huge obstacles.

A big part of what helps these teams to succeed is their huge fan bases. A fan base is what defines a team because good fan bases remain by the team even when losing. Both teams have die-hard supporters all over the country, some of them are even well-known celebrities.

This list isn’t really fair to the Spurs because the Heat is located in Miami, which has a huge population of celebrities, and also because LeBron James and Dwayne Wade are friends with numerous celebrities. San Antonio is a great city, but Miami is known for parties and other things that attract the rich and famous.

However, the Spurs have some pretty famous fans as well. San Antonio’s big upside in the race for celebrity supremacy (that sounds like a game show; ABC should get on that) is that most of their fans have been fans for their entire lives. A lot of Heat fans jumped onto the bandwagon after James moved his talents to South Beach ... or when the Los Angeles Lakers started playing badly, Justin Bieber.

Here is a list of 10 celebrities that you could see, or should at least hope to see, at the 2013 NBA Finals.

No. 10 Gabrielle Union

Union

Union isn’t really a fair choice because as Dwayne Wade’s wife, she will definitely be there, unless the rumors of a rocky marriage are true.

No. 9 Rick Ross

Ross
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Huh, he’s a huge NBA fan, huh. He spends a lot of time in Miami, huh. He probably will be at the game, huh.

No. 8 Flo Rida

Florida

Flo Rida's manager was thrown out of Game 7 between the Heat and Pacers, but he loves Miami and will probably be present at least one of the games.

No. 7 Jimmy Buffett

Buff
Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Buffett is a big Heat fan. Maybe he’ll make some time away from Margaritaville to watch the Heat play.

No. 6 Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova

IglKor
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Kournikova is the real Heat fan, but her fiancé will probably show up with her.

No. 5 David Beckham

Becks
Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The soccer star was at Miami for Game 7 against the Indiana Pacers, and rumors of a possible MLS franchise in Miami might keep him there.

8 of 11

No. 4 Usher

Yeah
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Usher is a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, but has no hard feelings towards LeBron James. The NBA Finals is the NBA Finals.

9 of 11

No. 3 Lil Wayne

Carter
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The rap star is a New Orleans Pelicans fan, but he's had courtside season tickets to the Heat games so far and will probably be at the finals.

No. 2 Justin Bieber

Biebs
Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Love him or hate him, Bieber loves the NBA. He won the MVP of the NBA Celebrity All-Star game in 2011, and he deserved it. He even switches fan bases from year to year.

No. 1 Selena Gomez

Gomez
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The actress and singer is a lifelong San Antonio Spurs fan. It would be a shame for such a huge fan to miss out on her team in the NBA Finals. Don’t put her in the same bandwagon-fan category as her ex-boyfriend Bieber though — Gomez is all about San Antonio.
