15 Professional Athletes to Trade Bodies With
Summertime is in full swing and people are taking their families on vacations. A lot of those vacations will end up at a destination that requires less clothing. Get your mind out of the gutter. I'm referring to a place that will require swimsuits like the beach, lake or some type of water park.
Most people start thinking about this earlier in the year. They realize they have a vacation to Cancun, Mexico coming up in several months and they decide they would like to get in shape. Perhaps it's a class reunion that causes the sudden sense of "I'm not worthy to be around other humans looking the way I do" mentality.
Through a series of crash diets that have people experiencing every known emotion to mankind in one 24-hour period to the extensive cardio they think they must undertake, the race is on to see if they can fit into the same size outfit they did when they were a senior in high school.
After not seeing any results by day two, they have decided to completely stop trying and go on an all-you-can-eat binge for the next 24 hours. The guilt associated with binging has now left a completely and utterly devastated feeling of despair and remorse. This guilt has now convinced the victim that they must scrap that crash diet because it was obviously a set-up for failure. A new diet has been found and the groceries were bought so that by Monday morning, it will begin ... because it feels, for some reason, against the law to start a diet/workout program in the middle of the week.
Another thing people do is they comb the internet looking for celebrities that they want to look like and want to be. Whether it's Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, Jason Statham or Matthew McConaughey, we have an idea of what attracts the opposite sex. With that in mind, here is a list of 15 athletes that I would trade bodies with right now.
12. Danell Leyva
Anyone that watched the Olympics last year saw Danell Leyva perform and perform well. Leyva is the 2011 U.S. national all-around gold medalist and he won the Bronze Medal at the London Olympics last year in the Men's All Around. Women loved him because of his perfect physique which made him another person for men to look up to.
10. Tom Brady
Tom Brady has it all. The looks, the money and he's the star quarterback. He is the high school kid everyone loved to hate. He was loved because everyone wanted to be him, but hated because nobody could be him and he always got the best girl. Apparently life in the NFL hasn't changed that.
9. Adrian Peterson
Coming off a season in which he nearly broke the NFL's single-season rushing record, Peterson shows why it's good to be him. This near record-breaking performance came after Peterson had to have surgery to repair a torn ACL. It must be nice to have a body that can recover from surgery in less than a year and then move on to almost breaking one of the most coveted records in your sport.
8. Blake Griffin
When you think of dunking in the NBA, one of the first people that comes to mind is Blake Griffin. From his days as an Oklahoma Sooner to playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Griffin has taken dunking to a new level. Not only does he dunk, but he throws it down as if his life depends on it. His ability to jump as high as he can and have the strength to finish the dunk is impressive in and of itself. I want to trade bodies with Griffin just so I know what it is like to jump that high.
5. LeBron James
There's no denying James must be on this list. Love him or hate him, it doesn't matter when it comes to his abilities on the court. LeBron has positioned himself to be in the discussion with some of the greatest who have ever played the game. Although he may never surpass Michael Jordan as the greatest, he will be talked about in the same discussion for years and years to come.
4. Michael Phelps
LeBron James called Michael Phelps the "Human Fish" at the ESPYs last week and that's probably the best description. The most decorated athlete in Olympic history has proven that that man can live under water. Of course, when living under water for so many hours in a day, calories burn and the body begins to look like something out of this world. This seems to be the case for Phelps' body that is adored by fans everywhere.
2. Ryan Lochte
Outside of die-hard swimming fans, nobody knew who Ryan Lochte was before last summer's Olympics in London. However, it didn't take long for him to get the recognition of fans everywhere as he competed head-to-head with his teammate Michael Phelps. Lochte also grabbed everyone's attention every time he took his shirt off to get into the pool.
1. Christiano Ronaldo
Voted one of the sexiest male athletes in 2012, Christiano Ronaldo also tops my list of athletes. The Real Madrid forward is only 28 years old and is an international sensation.
