The New England Patriots and their fans are holding their breath on this Wednesday evening as they wait to hear the latest update on quarterback Tom Brady–who left practice after suffering a left knee injury.
Even if he managed to walk off the field on his own, this is the last thing the Patriots want to deal with at this point in the preseason considering how valuable Brady has been to the offense throughout his career. For a team that has already been forced to make numerous adjustments this offseason after losing Wes Welker to the Denver Broncos and Aaron Hernandez while he continues to be investigated for the murder of Odin Lloyd, the loss of Brady would just be the icing on the cake for New England.
Not to mention–there’s no telling what to expect from Rob Gronkowski as he continues to recover from the numerous surgeries that took place during the offseason.
The video of Brady going down during practice certainly isn’t the easiest thing in the world to look at as it gives Patriots fans haunting flashbacks from the 2008 season, but for their sake–let’s just hope this is something minor that only requires a few days rest from practice. New England is always considered one of the top teams in the AFC, but if Brady misses time away from the field due to this injury–there’s no telling what to expect from the Patriots once the regular season gets underway in a few weeks.
