Evgeni Malkin is one of the best players in the NHL and an aggressive guy on the ice. Well, he showed his aggressiveness in a recent charity event in Russia hosted by now-retired player, Ilya Kovalchuck — the guy who retired from the league at the age of 30 and left $77 million on the table from his 15-year, $100 million contract.

Back to the real story. Malkin attended this charity event which happened to be an ice hockey game involving young kids. Well, one young kid must have looked at the Pittsburgh Penguins star wrong because he took exception to the way the young child skated by him.

Watch as Malkin drops his gloves and takes on this seven-year-old fan:

Of course this isn’t a real fight by any means, but it’s pretty funny how Malkin chose the kid randomly and they both went along with it, providing a pretty comical show for the fans in attendance. The boy delivers some devastating blows to Malkin while the NHL star pulls the boy’s jersey over his head, taunting him along the way.

It’s pretty cool to see this type of fan-player interaction from time to time and I love how Malkin is so into the fake fight and the kid barely knows what’s going on. More of these types of stunts would be beneficial for fan interaction and would definitely draw some crows — even if it is just a joke.

Evgeni Malkin and this kid may have become good friends after this fight, but Malkin’s NHL enemies aren’t so lucky.
