We all know the stereotype surrounding punters these days. They are lazy, underworked, rarely used and just flat-out unappreciated players that probably get no respect from their teammates. However, New York Giants‘ punter Steve Weatherford is trying to break that stereotype and is doing a great job of it.
He is one of the more comical guys in the league and he’s one of those rare athletes that love fan interaction as evidenced by his ‘pick of the day’ that he does on Instagram where he chooses a fan or multiple fans to take a nose-picking photo with. Yeah, he’s definitely one of the more interesting guys out there. Especially when he’s coming up with his own day of the week — see: Weatherford Wednesday.
Well, I’m not here to tell you how funny this guy clearly is, I’m here to show you yet another ridiculous picture that was posted by the man himself on his own Instagram account.

Weatherford is pictured next to a fan with no abs and he is showing off his ridiculously ripped six-pack. He is easily a fan favorite and if he keeps doing crazy things, there is no way that will change any time soon.
It’s really hard to think of an NFL punter being so cut and muscular, however. They are usually brought onto the field for one play every so often, walk off the field and repeat the process. Avoiding tackles is their specialty and if they have to fall down in the process to avoid any contact, they will.
Looks like Weatherford has broken the mold.
