The Alabama Crimson Tide are the best team in college football and when recruits get that offer from the Tide, they feel like their recruiting process may be all but over — usually. Alabama seems to be the mecca of college football talent and every player there seems to love playing for Nick Saban and the great fans.

One player has been long awaiting his announcement to leave the team and he has made it public — via Twitter. Yes, Twitter seems to be the platform in which people make big announcements Alabama wide out Kenny Bell has made the choice to explore other opportunities in life by leaving the Crimson Tide brotherhood.

The senior wide out sent out a series of tweets that described why he was leaving the team.

..time too focus on my responsibilities MY kiDS

..I’ve made so many memories here @ Alabama but some things you gotta let go

Salute to the team y’all keep grinding and win that championship

— Kenny bell (@TheKennyBell7) September 3, 2013

As you can tell, the senior wide out had a lot of things on his mind and he ultimately made what he thought to be the right decision. he wanted to take care of his kids and worry about them more than the team — an honorable choice. However, he will be severely missed as he was on the depth chart as the top slot receiver and had 17 catches in each of the past two seasons. Tough to leave a team that has won two straight titles and is on its way to a third, but he had a lot going on.

Some guys are going to have to step up now and win that championship, per Bell’s wishes.
