Dez Bryant Wears Controversial Shirt to Cowboys Practice

Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant walked into practice today with the intention of working his way to full-strength and getting better each day so a game like week one’s performance doesn’t happen again. Granted, Bryant got injured in that game, limiting him to just four catches for 22 yards.

Bryant wore a shirt to Friday afternoon’s Dallas Cowboys practice that stirred up a bit of controversy — and that’s okay with the fourth-year player. The wide out’s shirt read “piss excellence”. Yes, you read that right. Apparently, Dez thinks one big season gives him the right to think he’s “great”.

There’s no doubt that Bryant will one day be one of the top receivers of his time. He caught 92 passes for over 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012 while finally reaching his potential — something that he hasn’t done through year one and year two of his career to the fullest extent.

This could be the year that Dez breaks out big-time and challenges Calvin Johnson for the top receiving mark in the NFL. Coming into the league, he was expected to do big things and break a list of records while leading the Cowboys to the Super Bowl, but after two pedestrian seasons and an attitude problem, people were beginning to believe it would never happen.

Now, with an attitude adjustement and coming off a 1,300-plus yard season, people seem to think he’s a new man and anything is possible with his potential — which is true.

Wearing controversial “piss excellence” shirts are apparently his thing, too.
