Johnny Manziel may have angered a few San Francisco 49ers‘ fans when he decided to pay homage to the one and only Colin Kaepernick on Saturday. While Manziel didn’t change his number to seven, or get a bunch of tattoos before the game, Johnny Football did manage to throw the Niners’ quarterback a unique shout out.
Yes folks, the one and only Johnny Manziel…”Kaepernick-ed.” However, the originator of the move didn’t care about the Texas A&M Aggies‘ quarterback kissing his biceps and it showed with this Tweet:

So there you go San Francisco, if Kaepernick doesn’t care about the move, then you shouldn’t either! It was awesome to the Niners’ quarterback stick up for Manziel, considering everyone and their brother likes to take shots at the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Never have I seen such a polarizing figure — not named Tim Tebow — get so much criticism from the national media.
Even still, this was a pretty sweet gesture by Kaep, who didn’t have to take to Twitter and give Manziel this kind of love. Hopefully, this incident doesn’t cloud Kaepernick’s preparation for his Week 2 contests versus the extremely stingy Seattle Seahawks‘ defense. Either way, Manziel and Kaepernick are showing once again that they are both one-of-a-kind quarterbacks — on and off of the field.
