The Best Images From Thanksgiving Weekend
The latest weekend of sports action is in the books, and what an extended weekend it was. This past weekend was course Thanksgiving weekend and the action was going strong from Thursday on.
The holiday sports action started up as it always does on Thursday with the Lions taking on the Packers from Ford Field in Detroit. For the first time in 10 years, the Lions were victorious. Let's face it, this was a game that the Lions simply had to win. With Chicago's defense looking like one of the worst in the league, Detroit needed to put a W on the board against the faltering Rodgers-less Packers.
As the Thanksgiving action continued, we saw Tony Romo lead the Cowboys to a fairly convincing victory over the Raiders in another game that was essentially a must-win Jerry's Boys.
The NFL Thanksgiving night cap was another hard-hitting contest between the Ravens and Steelers. Unfortunately, all people are talking about is whether or not Mike Tomlin intentionally got on the field to alter Jacoby Jones' path to the end zone.
So through all the tremendous action that took place on this extended weekend, there were of course many great photos snapped. Whether it involved the Iron Bowl or college basketball in the Bahamas, the cameras where there catching all the great sports moments in time.
