Ranking The Hottest NBA Dance Teams of the 2014-15 Season

NBA Dancers — The 2014-15 NBA season is almost underway, and the action on the court will be intense. But, the real stars are often the ladies who pump up the crowd during breaks. Who will emerge as the breakout star this year? Who will win NBA MVP this year? Time will tell, but for now, here are all the spirited ladies of the 30 NBA teams, ranked from good to awesome.

On the court, the Bucks tanked to get a high draft pick, but there was no such tanking on the sidelines. Now that Jabari Parker is in Bucks Green, these ladies might actually be cheering for a winner this season.

The Jazz Dancers aren't just the Jazz Dancers, they'll have you know. They are the America First Jazz Dancers. Yes, these ladies have corporate sponsorship. Unfortunately, one of the league's most consistent winners in the 90s isn't doing so hot in the 2010s. At least they have a young nucleus in Trey Burke and Enes Kanter to look forward to.

28. Atlanta Hawks Dancers

The Atlanta Hawks had a miserable offseason after the departure of minority owner Bruce Levenson, but the on-court product had some excitement last year. The Hawks took the top-seeded Pacers to seven games in the first round. The Hawks dancers also can look forward to the return of Al Horford, who missed most of last year with injury. Not all things are bad down in Dixie.

The Grizz Girls have been around to see the most successful run in the Grizzlies' young tenure. With players like Zach Randolph and Mike Conley Jr. still around, the Grizzlies will continue to be a force in the West.

In the cool and damp Pacific Northwest, the Blazer Dancers definitely turn up the heat in Portland. These ladies also have a squad to be proud of with young superstars in Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge.

25. Raptors Dance Pak

The Raptors dancers are officially named the "Dance Pak." Personally, I could care less if they pak with or without the c, but the Raptors definitely had an "A" type season last year. Toronto won the Atlantic Division and have a young nucleus in place with players like Kyle Lowry, DeMar Derozan and Jonas Valanciunas.

24. Detroit Pistons Dancers

Since the days of Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace and Rip Hamilton, the Detroit Pistons Dancers have sadly not had much to cheer about. Now that Stan Van Gundy, a proven winner, is in charge of a talented roster, things might just turn around this year. The NBA is a better product when the Pistons are relevant.

Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Teams — Cleveland did not have much to cheer for after LeBron James "took his talents to South Beach" in 2011, but now that the "King" has returned, these ladies are once again excited for their Cavs. Things will also get sweeter now that Kevin Love is in the mix along with former No. 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving.

22. Wizard Girls

After years of ineptitude, the Washington Wizards finally showed some promise last season, taking the Pacers to Game 6 of the Divisional Playoffs. What hasn't changed in the nation's capital are the Wizard Girls, who have cheered on their team in what was one of the darkest stretches in team history.

21. Pelicans Dancers

The New Orleans Pelicans are stationed in one of the nation's most vibrant cities, and have one of the NBA's brightest stars in Anthony Davis. If those aren't good reasons for these ladies to be cheering on the Pelicans, then nothing is.

After a glorious era with Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, the Celtics took a step back last year under Brad Stevens. Things might not get better this year with Rajon Rondo's continuing discontent with the organization, but the Celtics Dancers will continue to root on their team regardless.

Despite losing the franchise's lone superstar in Kevin Love, the Timberwolves Dancers have plenty to cheer about this upcoming season. This team is loaded with young talent, and has the last two No. 1 overall picks in Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett.

The Sacramento Kings' dancers have not had much to celebrate this past decade. Since reaching the 2002 Western Conference Finals, the team has fallen off the map and is now a regular in the draft lottery. Hopefully, the Kings will become more competitive this season so these ladies will be celebrating more than in years past.

The Warriors have a bright future ahead of them despite firing coach Mark Jackson, who had a great tenure with the organization. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are the best backcourt duo in the game, and the Warriors have other great players in Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala. These girls should have plenty to cheer about once again.

Los Angeles Clippers Dancers — With Donald Sterling, a racist bigot, now out of the league, the Clippers can finally get back on track. The Spirit Dance Team should also be excited once again as they are cheering for the best team in their own city. Led by Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, the Clippers should be a favorite to contend for the NBA Finals.

The Chicago Bulls' dancers are appropriately named "The Luvabulls." With Derrick Rose now back and with Pau Gasol in the mix, these ladies should have more to cheer about this season than last year's disappointing finish.

The 1992 Olympic Team is appropriately named "The Dream Team," and so are the Philadelphia 76ers' dancers. With the franchise clearly in rebuilding mode, these ladies are the best team to occupy the Wells Fargo Center.

Since moving from Seattle to Oklahoma City, the Thunder have emerged as one of the NBA's best teams. Only a fool would deny that the fresh-faced Thunder Girls are a major factor in Oklahoma City's rise to dominance.

In the Sunshine State, the Magic Dancers are perhaps the lone attraction in the Amway Center. However, with promising players like Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo, the Magic should turn things around sooner rather than later.

When you think about it, "Nuggets" is a really silly name for a team, isn't it? Anyway, the Nuggets Dancers are a tough group of ladies. Despite the altitude that exists in Denver, these ladies dance their hearts for their Nuggets, which should be a great offensive team this season.

New York's Knick City Dancers have not had much to celebrate, especially last season, but with Phil Jackson now in charge, the Knicks should get back to winning soon. With Carmelo Anthony deciding to stay with the organization, the franchise still has a superstar who can carry his team night in and night out. The Knick City Dancers will also do the same as they continue to make Madison Square Garden the mecca of basketball.

9. Indiana Pacemates

The Pacemates are definitely one of the hottest squad in the league, but they win the prize for having the naughtiest-sounding name for what it's worth. After back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals appearances, this season should be more of a struggle as the Pacers will be without Paul George (injured) and Lance Stephenson (free agent to Charlotte).

After relocating from New Jersey to Brooklyn, the Nets have emerged as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Helping them make that jump are the Brooklynettes, one of the NBA's hottest squads. These ladies should be celebrating more this season with Lionel Hollins as coach and with star players in Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett and Joe Johnson.

No matter how good or bad the Lakers will be in the near future, the world-famous Laker Girls will always be relevant. The Laker Girls are the most storied dance team in NBA history, and are the NBA's version of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. With Kobe Bryant now fully healed from injury, the Lakers should be at least more competitive this season.

Despite losing LeBron James to Cleveland, the Miami Heat still have a talented roster filled with great players. The Heat Dancers had plenty to be excited for after appearing in the past four NBA Finals series, winning two. When your team is named the Heat, you are definitely going to have some hotties on the sidelines.

Formerly the Bobcats, Charlotte's dance team was named the LadyCats, and while these cats were gorgeous, Charlotte is now the Hornets and the dance team is now the Honey Bees. It's fairly easy to see that these ladies are definitely some honeys. It also helps to have a set of gorgeous twins in Kirsten and Kristen Hardy.

When your team is named something that is hot, it is only appropriate to put the dancers high on this list. The Suns were the league's biggest surprise team last year, nearly missing the postseason with no clear superstars. As long as these ladies are on the sidelines, the desert should be scorching hot with beautiful Suns Dancers.

Houston's glory days of '94 and '95, when the team won back-to-back titles, are a distant memory at this point; but hopes are high for the present-day Rockets, led by Dwight Howard and James Harden. The Rockets Power Dancers will just go on looking hot, and will continue to cheer for a high-octane offense that loves to score in the hundreds.

The reigning NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs also have a championship-worthy dance team in the Silver Dancers. This group of ladies have seen plenty of wins in the Gregg Popovich era, and are favored once again to win it all. As long as Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan are on the floor, San Antonio can win any game they are in.

The title of No. 1 hottest dance team belongs to the Dallas Mavericks. Since Mark Cuban took over the franchise, the Mavericks' dancers have been one of the league's best. This team should do well again this season with Dirk Nowitzki back for another year and with Rick Carlisle as head coach.

Mason Menard unleashed a vicious punch on Eudy Bernardo on Showtime recently, and it's pretty hard to watch. Bernardo was knocked out cold and ultimately had to be removed from the ring on a stretcher. Thankfully, Bernardo is doing just fine after being taken to the hospital as a precaution.
