Teams have traditions and superstitions that they hold on to in order to do well. Whether it is personal, team-based or stemmed from years of playing sports, there is always something. Regardless of whether or not anyone truly believes in these superstitions, it’s safe to say that superstitions in sports are pretty ridiculous. It’s strange to see players smack each other to pump themselves up for a game. Sometimes the smack is just a light tap, but in the case of John Henderson of the Jacksonville Jaguars, he would have the assistant trainer smack him across the face as hard as he could.
