India enters the 2015 World Cup as the defending champs, and of course, one of the favorites to win the title again.

It’ll fall on the shoulders of MS Dhoni this time around as his leadership combined with the power of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should provide enough assets to have a successful outing.

The pitch down under isn’t very favorable to India’s fast bowlers as they are unable to utilize the facilities properly. They struggled recently against Australia and the fear is the same issue may repeat itself.

All eyes will be on Virat Kohli as he continues to be the pulse of this team. His batting will be depended on every match; with a lack of bowling prowess on the team, how effectively Kohli bats will affect both sides of the game for India.

This is a list of the India squad for the 2015 Cricket World Cup to be held from February 14 to March 29, 2015:

According to BBC Sport, “teams were required to name a 30-man provisional squad before finalising a 15-strong squad for the competition by 7 January. Injured players can only be replaced with special dispensation from the International Cricket Council.”
