About an hour after Pakistan's impressive victory over South Africa, coach Waqar Younis walked out of a mandatory press conference following a heated back and forth with a reporter.

When asked why he didn't play wicketkeeper Sarfaz Ahmed in previous matches, Younis immediately ended the press conference, saying he doesn't have time for "stupid questions."

“There are 15 boys and it’s the best XI who have been playing," Waqar said. "The best XI played today also. There is no politics involved. You are the one giving it a political twist.”

A simple question with such a complex answer? Younis must understand that this is the World Cup, and answering questions - no matter how unnecessary they may be - is part of his job. Such actions portray his entire team and nation in a negative manner.

There's no doubt Younis already has a place in Pakistan cricket history as one of the best bowlers not only in the country's past, but also in the game world-wide.

Younis the manager, however, still has much to prove. Not playing Ahmed earlier in the tournament may have cost Pakistan - admitting to the POSSIBILITY of that shows greater leadership than getting upset and ending a press conference.
