Sometimes it seems like sports personalities are more trouble than they're worth. Certainly, some make sports even better, but many are completely annoying. Here are 20 sports personalities in particular that nobody can stand.

Thankfully, we don't have to watch Jay Mariotti on 'Around the Horn' anymore, because he was the most annoying contestant in the history of the show. He pretty much just yelled outrageous opinions and backed them up with zero facts. No wonder he barely ever won.

Hill makes this list because of her spot on ESPN's 'His and Hers', which is one of the more annoying sports shows the network has. Hill and co-host Michael Smith offer their opinions on the topics of a given day, and it's mostly boring. Even when they argue, they don't get entertaining enough to even watch.

Smith knows his stuff, but he's the other half of the hosting combo on 'HIs and Hers' and he's doing himself a disservice by co-hosting that show. There's something about the way he acts on the show that just seems to rub people the wrong way.

May is on a variety of ESPN programming, but he's best known for covering college football. Occasionally he will make a good point, but his banter with other in-studio personalities on college football coverage is pretty brutal. Basically, they serve to make everyone want the game to start so they can stop watching the pregame show.

The now former head man at Grantland is incredibly intelligent, but when he's on TV, he seems like he's trying to convince the world that he knows everything. He doesn't leave much room for debate with anything he says, and sports personality or not, that's something that will get on people's nerves quickly.

Berman is one of the titans at ESPN as he's been there since the beginning, but he can get annoying every now and then. One thing that definitely gets him on this list is his home run call for the MLB Home Run Derby. "Back back back back back back gone!" Absolutely awful.

Keyshawn has the rare distinction as an annoying sports personality that is also a former star player. Basically, he adds nothing to any football conversation he's normally a part of. His chemistry with other people on NFL pregame shows is good, but he really doesn't do much.

The 'Sunday Night Football' color commentator can really do a nice job sometimes, but he overstates things a lot. When he does that, it's hard to take the things he says seriously. Obviously, that's not a quality you want in an announcer.

12. Dick Stockton

Stockton isn't so much annoying as he is just downright awful. He has to be one of the worst sports announcers in recent memory, and there's a reason he hasn't been doing it much lately. Listening to a game he's calling almost isn't worth it. Almost.

11. Kirk Herbstreit

Like many other college football personalities, Herbstreit can be a little off his rocker sometimes. He absolutely knows football and gives great analysis most of the time, but every now and then he will say something that just makes you shake your head.

10. Tony Kornheiser

Not just anyone can get let go by ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' coverage because fans start a petition to get you taken off. Only someone special like Tony Kornheiser can have that happen to them. Even though he's pretty entertaining on 'PTI' with Mike Wilbon, he will say outrageous things that make you want him to stop talking.

Jaws was a good player back in the day, but his breakdown of film is absolutely ridiculous. He over-analyzes every little thing and sounds ignorant. He's also always so sure what he's saying is right that he sounds like he's just talking for his own personal benefit.

8. Chris Broussard

Broussard is actually a sad excuse for a reporter. In 2010 when LeBron was a free agent, he said at separate times that the Bulls and Knicks were going to sign him, which made him lose a lot of credibility. It was a blessing in disguise, though, because now people can tune him out more easily.

Let's just say — thank goodness he retired.

Walton is absolutely brutal on TV. The former basketball star is completely obnoxious and his game breakdowns don't even make sense. There's a reason he hasn't been on national TV air in awhile; people don't want to hear him talk anymore.

5. Skip Bayless

Many people list Bayless as the sports personality they hate the most, and there's good reason for that. The 'First Take' analysts often plays devil's advocate just to instigate. It can make for entertaining television most of the time, but some of his outlandish claims are just plain ridiculous.

4. Keith Olbermann

Olbermann is one of the most talented sports journalists out there, but he's too cocky for his own good. He thinks he can do whatever he wants and nobody will care because of who he is. He doesn't break down games at all, but rather just shouts at things and takes polarizing views on topics just to entertain. It's no wonder he's out of a job.

3. Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A. does just as much instigating as Skip Bayless, who he's on 'First Take' with. The thing that makes him more annoying is the fact that he's more defiant when Bayless disagrees with him. Bayless will get upset if he disagrees, but he doesn't do much more than argue back. Stephen A. will go off on Skip regardless of how serious the argument really is.

2. Dan Le Batard

Le Batard's show on ESPN has to be one of the worst in sports history. That's a strong statement, but it's really that bad. His sports analysis is nonexistent and the show isn't even kind of entertaining. He also let fans vote with his ballot for the Baseball Hall of Fame, which is an absolute joke. He rightfully got banned from voting anymore due to completely disrespecting the game.

Nobody in sports media is a bigger killjoy than Joe Buck. He will get excited over plays and moments during a game, but if the color commentator has a reason to be excited, he will normally find a way to bring things back to him. He is a good announcer, but he essentially knows how good he is and tries to do too much, which makes him unbearable to listen to most of the time.
