Not every tribute will be seen as touching this Memorial Day weekend. According to CNN Money, Under Armour has apologized and removed a controversial item from the online shelves of its website.

Appearing to parody the World War II battle of Iwo Jima, Under Armour depicted several silhouettes raising a portable basketball hoop in a design titled “Band of Ballers.” After receiving numerous comments on the company’s social networking feeds, Under Armour released a statement: “We deeply regret and apologize that a t-shirt that was not reflective of our values in honoring and supporting our country’s heroes went on sale[.]”
