Derek Jeter Addresses Rumors About Sending Women Home With Gift Baskets

Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter somehow managed to keep his personal life out of the spotlight during his career despite dating a plethora of Hollywood starlets, and playing in our country’s largest market.

However, there were always wild rumors about how Jeter enjoyed spending his nights, and many remain in circulation to this day.

According to a New York Post article back in 2011, a friend of Jeter’s said his “one-night-stands” would be sent home with a gift-basket loaded with autographed memorabilia and other goodies:

“Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York, and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day. Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball,” the friend dished.

“This summer, he ended up hooking up with a girl who he had hooked up with once before, but Jeter seemed to have forgotten about the first time and gave her the same identical parting gift, a gift basket with a signed Derek Jeter baseball,” the pal said.

During a recent appearance on Joe Buck‘s new show, ‘Undeniable with Joe Buck’ on the Audience Network, Jeter finally addressed the subject, and categorically denied involvement.

Clearly, Jeter had a good time throughout his career. But the 41-year-old is settling down with model Hannah Davis, and the two were engaged last month. Thus, it was a smart move to put these whispers to bed once and for all.
