It’s been a while since this battle of the sexes thing surfaced in sports again, so it’s about time for the nonsense to resume.
John McEnroe spoke to NPR recently about Serena Williams’ chances against men, and his comments were extremely insulting to say the least.
After those words caused a firestorm online with debates raging about the validity of McEnroe’s statements, Williams chimed in with two very succinct and valid tweets.
Dear John, I adore and respect you but please please keep me out of your statements that are not factually based.

I’ve never played anyone ranked “there” nor do I have time. Respect me and my privacy as I’m trying to have a baby. Good day sir

It was 1973 when Billie Jean King whipped a 55-year-old Bobby Riggs in straight sets to shut him up about male superiority in the sport.
Maybe once Serena’s baby arrives she can do the same to McEnroe’s sorry 58-year-old behind.
