Emotions run high when the stakes are ratcheted up for the Little League World Series, and that was never more clear than in the aftermath of a dramatic conclusion to the Venezuela vs. Dominican Republic game.
A lengthy rain delay ended and two pitches later the game was decided, leaving Dominican pitcher Edward Uceta in shambles.
Coaches and players from Venezuela were quick to console Uceta after he fell to the ground in tears.
They continued that support in the handshake line, showing incredible sportsmanship all around.
This is what sports are supposed to be all about.
