Today the University of Colorado men’s basketball program held their annual media day and I was in attendance. I interviewed a few of the players that are expected to be major factors for Tad Boyle’s Buffs this season.
Senior forward Austin Dufault is in his second year under Boyle and is being looked at to provide leadership for the younger players. He is moving back to his natural position of power forward after playing center last year. With Shane-Harris Tunks coming back from a knee injury, Dufault is excited to be back at his original position. Here is his interview from earlier today:
Carlon Brown is excited, after sitting out last year due to transfer rules, to finally get back on the court and play some games this fall. He transferred from Utah last year and practiced with the team all last season. This year he is finally able to play in CU’s games and will be looked towards to provide leadership and scoring as well. Here is what Carlon said earlier today:
Jeremy Adams is a transfer player originally from Texas A&M but played at a junior college last year. Because he came from a JC he will not have to sit out this year and will be able to play this season. In Boyle’s press conference he called Adams his X-factor and is expecting big things from him this year. Here’s Adam’s take from earlier:
Spencer Dinwiddie is one of the freshman that Boyle recruited in his first year and is expected to be a major contributor on offense. Dinwiddie can score with the best of them and has been compared to Alec Burks. Although being compared to Burks isn’t a bad thing, Dinwiddie wants let his play do the talking. Here it from the man himself:
For Boyle’s press conference check out CU Buffs for the video. He made some good points about trying to get off to a fast start this season after a slow start hurt them last year.
