Milwaukee Bucks Center Andrew Bogut Out Indefinitely
Throughout his career Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut has not been able to catch a break. It seems thatwhen Bogut starts to get on a little roll an injury derails him and he is forced to start from square one once again. On Wednesday night during the Bucks win against the Houston Rockets Bogut suffered an injury to his left ankle.
After the game Bogut was interviewed in front of his locker and looked very concerned about the injury, here is what he had to say, ”It wasn’t good. I knew when I came down I was in some trouble. Keeping optimistic, everything’s fine with the X-ray, but that’s to be expected. I know I didn’t break a bone. ”I’m not optimistic. With my history of unlucky injuries I’m hoping this one can do me a favor and go away. Most of my injuries are unfortunate things and this goes in the same boat as that. It’s frustrating.”
On Thursday the Milwaukee Bucks announced what every Bucks fan had feared, that Bogut had undergone an MRI on his left ankle and it revealed a fracture that is going to keep him out “indefinitely.” By looking at Bogutyou could tell that this wasn’t one of those injuries you could play through and that it was going to take a while for him to get back on the floor, and he was right.
One of the more positive notes for Bucks fans was that the Journal Times reports that “indefinitely” means thatBogut will be out for two weeks which is certainly better than a month or even the season. Without Bogut the Bucks will certainly be hard-pressed to keep playing at the pace that they are now. The Bucks have picked up their play noticeably as-of-late and Bogut has been an integral part of that. Bogut is averaging 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game this season and the Bucks now sit at 7-10 on the season.
