With the fantasy basketball season really picking up steam, here is my latest compilation of free agent players to scoop up before your competition:

Small Leagues: 8-10 man leagues

PG Greivis Vasquez, NO – Vasquez is really shinning in the bayou;  averaging 17.5 points, 8.7 assists, and 4.3 boards in the last four games.

SG Alfonzo Gee, CLE – Gee has averaged 14.8 points in the last five games, and is one of the only bright spots in the Cavs’ desperate offense.

SF Linas Kleiza, TOR – Kleiza has scored 62 points in the last three games off the bench, including 9 3-pointers.

PF Jason Thompson, SAC – Thompson has started the last twelve games for Sacramento, and has recorded at least 9 points and 10 rebounds in five of those contests.

C Marcus Camby, POR – Camby has amazingly captured 13.6 boards  in the last eight games,  and also blocked  23 shots in that span.

Big Leagues: 10-14 man leagues

PG Jeremy Lin, NYK – Lin has shocked the “Big Apple” with 53 points, 15 rebounds, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals in the last two games alone.

SG Daequan Cook, OKC – Cook knocked down 5 of his 7 3-point shots last night and benefits from the extra attention teams give Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

SF Reggie Williams, CHA – Williams has been impressive since being injected into the starting lineup for Charlotte, with 42 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, and 4 threes in his two starts.

PF Kenyon Martin, LAC – K-Mart is now having its re-grand opening in LA, and will quickly help out the injury riddled Clippers’ roster.

C Nikola Pekovic, MIN – Pekovic is averaging 18.5 points and 10.5 boards in the month of February. He will continue to get plenty of minutes with Darko Milicic sidelined with a quad injury for a couple more weeks.
