Los Angeles Lakers Switching Focus To Kirk Hinrich
The Los Angeles Lakers lack of point guard depth has been the talk of the entire season starting when they failed to acquire Chris Paul. With the talks of acquiring free agent Gilbert Arenas slowing down, the Lakers have shifted their eyes to Atlanta where Kirk Hinrich plays.
According to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld, the Lakers have inquired about Hinrich and the possibility of acquiring the journeyman point guard. Hinrich has missed significant time this season coming off a shoulder injury to start the year.
However, with Steve Blake and Derek Fisher playing past their prime, the younger Hinrich may be the savior at point guard they need. He was the Chicago Bulls’ first round pick, seventh overall back in 2003.
