DeMarcus Cousins Denies Sending Revealing Photo
Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had his maturity questioned several times throughout his career, and has worked to shake his “headcase” label this season with solid production and a more level head. However, a recent mishap being reported may be a setback in the budding star’s image repair.
Via the Sacramento Bee:
A woman is alleging Kings center DeMarcus Cousins sent her an inappropriate photo via text message.
Cousins, through his agent, John Greig, denied sending the photo. Greig said he would contact NBA security about the situation today.
Greig wrote: “Rest assured that DeMarcus Cousins has not sent any nude photos to any woman at any time. Allegations that he has and internet websites that are reporting such are erroneous. These websites should take the images claiming to be DeMarcus down and apologize. It is a sad reflection of where our culture is that someone can send and post these type of things without any accountability.”
While there is currently no evidence proving that the pictures are from Cousins, the accusations are making waves in the media given his past history. Cousins was not available to the media after the team’s morning shootaround, and missed Wednesday’s game with food poisoning according to team representatives.
Cousins is in the midst of a career season, averaging 16.2 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
