Andrew Bogut Requests A Trade
The NBA trade deadline is less than a week away so you know what that means, time for some NBA trade rumors to start swirling. The latest isn’t really a rumor but rather a player’s direct request to be traded. According to a report in the Washington PostMilwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut has requested to be traded and the Washington Wizards are the team that has their eye on him. But even if the Wizards did have a great offer for Bogut it would not be financially feasible to do a deal with the Bucks.
The Wizards do not have the resources available to match the $12 million salary that Bogut would bring back in any deal. JaVale McGee, who the Wizards are open to trading, is only due $2.5 million in his fourth season. According to Craig Stouffer though, John Wall is the only player on the Wizards who isn’t available, everyone else is on the block, so to speak. If the Wizards really want Bogut though, they will probably find a way to complete a deal for the big-man.
With as many injuries as Bogut has had it seems pretty funny that he would be the one asking the Bucks for a trade rather than the other way around.
