Report: Mark Cuban And Lamar Odom Involved In Argument
The Lamar Odom as a member of the Dallas Mavericks experiment is officially over and we are now learning exactly why it did not work out. Rumors have been flying about an exchange between Odom and star forward Dirk Nowitzki, but the latest report has owner Mark Cuban involved. Reports state that exchange took place Sunday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Cuban asked Odom if he was “in or out” and Odom replied angrily.
It is also said the exchange was the final tipping point in the decision to deactivate Odom for the rest of the season. He clearly wasn’t invested in Dallas and the Mavericks made the right move by cutting their loss. Maybe the team will pick up their play now that Odom is out of the picture.
I understand that Odom is a fragile guy. His emotions are easily affected, but he needs to grow up. Stop worrying about your stupid reality show and the fact the Los Angeles Lakers traded you. Sports are business. You were deemed expendable and you were traded. Get over yourself. It happens to a lot of players and they don’t pout the entire season.
Mark Cuban has remained quiet on this latest development but I hope to hear from him about it soon. He is always a great soundbite and he could really provide some insight into this final blowup. Odom clearly wasn’t in and he was bringing the team down. The defending champs seem to be in trouble, but the black cloud may have finally been lifted.
