Charles Barkley And Shaquille O’Neal Engage In Shirt Off Contest On Inside The NBA
Inside the NBA is known for some great comedy. Tuesday night, after the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers played the first game of their series, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal engaged in a shirt off competition. Basically, Chuck and Shaq took their shirts off on live TV to determine who had the better body.
Even though the voting will last on Twitter for a while, I think we are winners in this instance. Inside the NBA never fails to provide great moments like this. I mean, Shaq had painted on abs. PAINTED ON ABS. It is probably the best basketball related show on the planet, even if it has gotten worse this year. I miss Chris Webber on the show a lot, but at least he is succeeding as a broadcaster.
I think this idea could carry over to other sports. Think if we had out of shape baseball managers or football coaches engage in this. Could you imagine the publicity that those things would get? I bet ESPN would have a heart attack trying to cover it. It would be weird, but you know people would tune in. I mean, they watch First Take almost every day.
Although this shirt off is over, I can’t wait until the next competition between Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal. We should have them engage in a game of 1-on-1. That would draw ratings, even though I think it would end with both them blowing out a knee.
