C.J. Miles picks Cavs over Lakers, Bucks, Mavs, and Rockets
Free agent forward C.J Miles has agreed to a two-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers according to Brian T. Smith of the Salt Lake Tribune.
The 25-year-old Miles averaged 9 points and 2 rebounds playing 20 minutes for the Jazz last season but his minutes dropped considerably behind the Jazz’ plethora of wings. He averaged 25 minutes per game in 2011, and dropped to just 20 in 2012.He shot just 38 percent from the field last season.
Playing time was the major factor for Miles choosing the Cavs, as he will get an opportunity to become a starter. Miles is a versatile player that can play both small forward and shooting guard. Miles now gives the Cavaliers some depth at one of their weakest positions, and throws into question whether they will re-sign restricted free agent Alonzo Gee.
